Aggrey Chiyangi was not pleased with the manner in which Nkana went about in beating struggling Forest Rangers on Saturday.

Nkana laboured to a 1-0 home win over the promoted side at Nkana Stadium in Kitwe.

The victory saw Nkana bounce back from last weekend 2-1 away loss to arch-rivals Power Dynamos in the big Kitwe derby.

Meanwhile, it took 79 minutes for Nkana break the deadlock against the visiting side from Ndola thanks to a goal from striker Walter Bwalya who returned to haunt Forest who own him but loaned him out to the Kitwe side in July without a no-play clause in the deal.

“I think we did not play well I think there was a bit of underrating Forest,” Chiyangi said.

“We didn’t play so aggressively but I think it is good we fought and came back with a goal and it has helped us get three point.”

Bwalya headed-in the winner with eleven minutes left on the clock when he rose to meet a cross from ex-Zambia defender Joseph Musonda.

Nkana had early struggled to breach goalkeeper Makasa Mufwaya who parried Bwalya’s 3rd minute shot and saved a free-kick from another Forest import Fred Tshimenga in the 29th minute.

Nkana stay in ninth position despite the win on 31 points from 23 matches with seven games left to play.
