Lungu demands win against Kenya

Republican President Edgar Lungu has urged the Zambia National Soccer Team to remain focused and ensure that they win Sunday’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Kenya.

Speaking when he visited the Team during their afternoon training session at Heroes Stadium yesterday, President Lungu says he will be going to Kenya on the 11th of September and that it will be shameful for him to go there when the team just lost the AFCON qualifier match.

President Lungu said he visited the team to wish them the best of luck during Sunday’s crucial encounter against the Harambe stars of Kenya.

He urged the team against going to Kenya with a negative mentality of losing or drawing, because soccer fans expect nothing but a win.

The Head of State said just like some people never expected him to win the January 20th Presidential by-elections, he expects the Chipolopolo to win the crucial match.

The President who was also presented with a pair of the Chipolopolo jersey and a football, said he will be going around Lusaka today boosting the Morale of soccer fans ahead of Sunday’s game.
