HRC reaffirms commitment to human rights promotion

The Human Rights Commission has reaffirmed its commitment to promotion of human rights in the country by engaging all stakeholders.

Commission Chief Information, Education and Training Officer, Mweelwa Muleya has told QFM News that it is for this reason that the commission saw it fit to create a web platform that will enable the people report any violation of human rights online.

Mr. Muleya says the interface is user friendly and is hopeful that the platform will help in the promotion of human rights in the country.

He further states that freedoms of assembly, expression and association are very important in a democratic nation like Zambia, and that this is why the commission has come up with such a platform to defend the rights of citizens.
