The University Teaching Hospital (UTH) has recorded about 753 cases of Child defilement in the first half of 2015.
UTH Public Relations Manager Mwenya Mulenga has disclosed to QFM News that the highest number was recorded in January with about 118 cases of defilement.
Mr. Mulenga says the ages of the children defiled range from 11 to 15.
He notes that the statistics of child defilement are a source of concern.
Mr. Mwenya is however hopeful that with the interventions Government is putting in place, cases of defilement the University Teaching Hospital is receiving will reduce.
