ZCSD smells ill motive in creation of new Siavonga Districts

The Zambia Council for Social Development (ZCSD) says it suspects that the creation of new Districts in the North Western province is ill intended.

ZCSD Executive Director Lewis Mwape says his organization particularly finds it is unfortunate that the newly created Districts in the Province have not been budgeted for.

Mr. Mwape has wondered where funds will come from to build infrastructure befitting a district in Mushindano and Kalumbila which President Edgar Lungu has declared as Districts.

He is of the view that Zambia currently cannot afford to have more Districts without prior planning.

Mr. Lewis has also wondered why President Lungu has decided to create the two districts in an area where a Parliamentary by-election is due.
