The opposition All People’s Congress (APC) has added its voice in calling upon the ruling Patriotic Front (PF) to take the lead in practicing intra party democracy.
APC president Nason Msoni says as a party in government the ruling PF must act exemplary in practicing intra party democracy.
Mr. Msoni has told QFM News that his party is concerned with the manner the ruling PF has adopted President Edgar Lungu as its candidate for the 2016 general elections.
Mr. Msoni is of the view that what the ruling PF has done in fact amounts to single sourcing which however is against principles that a political party that governing a Democratic country should follow.
He says in view of how the last PF convention was held it would have been better for the ruling PF to go for a convention in order to give proper legitimacy to whoever is elected to be party candidate for the next year ‘s general elections
