Lungu advised to call for national dialogue to resolve Zambia’s problems

Republican President Edgar Lungu has been advised to call for an urgent national dialogue meeting aimed at resolving the challenges the country is grappling with.

Caritas Zambia Head of Programs Eugene Kabilika says it will be difficult for President Lungu to win next year’s General election if he fails to improve the country’s struggling economy.

Mr. Kabilika says the only way the challenges the country is facing can be resolved is through dialogue where the people can agree on the way forward considering that national matters affect everyone.

He notes that load shedding is negatively affecting the economy and that its effects will spillover to next year even with enough water for power generation.

Mr. Kabilika has since urged President Lungu not give a blind eye to the challenges the country is facing if he is to win next year’s General election.
