Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) President Andrew Nthewewe has advised President Edgar Lungu to be proactive in developing the nation considering that his performance will be assessed on a one year six months term as opposed to a full five year term.

Mr. Nthewewe says it is not possible for President Lungu to achieve the best results in a one year six months period saying that is why Presidents are given a five year term to deliver on most of their promises.

Mr. Nthewewe says this however does not give the President time to relax but do his level best within this period considering that the country is entangled with lots of challenges.

He says the eight months of President Lungu in office has not been inspiring and thus the need for him to consider addressing the major issues that most stakeholders are complaining about such as constitution, fuel prices, and high cost of living among others.
