NAREP questions govt’s seriousness

Opposition National Restoration Party (NAREP) says the issue of the contaminated crude oil that government purchased; causing damage to Indeni oil refinery machinery has brought into question government’s seriousness.

NAREP National Secretary Vincent Mwanza says this has left people wondering how serious government is when it comes to handling issues affecting the Zambian people.

Mr. Mwanza says it should not take something bad to happen before government puts measures in place to such an occurrence.

He says government should government have been sending experts to ensure that the oil being brought into the country is not contaminated.

Mr. Mwanza has further urged government to take issues of national interest seriously because of the impact such issues have on the economy and the people of Zambia.
