PF has abandoned its manifesto – Chipenzi

The Foundation for Democratic Process (FODEP) has charged that the ruling Patriotic Front has stopped believing in its manifesto going by the way they conduct their business which in most cases goes contrary to the provisions of their 2011-2016 party manifesto.

FODEP Executive Director Macdonald Chipenzi says one wonders whether the electorate will ever believe political parties during campaigns going by their experience under the ruling PF.

Mr. Chipenzi states that if political parties would govern according to their manifestos, maybe things would be better for the people of Zambia, unlike the case where some political parties have turned away from their party manifestos once in power.

He says Zambians deserve what they are promised during the campaigns considering that some people vote based on what political parties present in their manifestoes.

Mr Chipenzi says it is therefore important for political parties to deliver according to what they promise in their manifestoes.

He has since encouraged the PF to go back to their manifesto and govern according to what is contained in their party manifesto.
