President Lungu leaves for Gaborone SADC summit

Republican President Edgar Lungu has left for Gaborone, Botswana to attend the 35th SADC Heads of State and Government Summit scheduled for Monday and Tuesday this week.

The two days summit is being held under the theme: ‘Accelerating Industrialization of the SADC economies through transformation of natural endowments and improved human capital.’

And speaking shortly before departure, President Lungu held back from having a long discussion with journalists.

President Lungu has however made an assurance that he will explain to the nation exactly how his attending the summit will benefit Zambia.

He is accompanied by among other government officials newly appointed Defense Minister Richwell Siamunene.

President Lungu will be among other 14 SADC Heads of State and Government that attending the summit.
