Mukobela grateful FRA has begun buying from his chiefdom

Chief Mukobela of the ILA speaking people in Namwala District Southern Province is grateful that the Food Reserve Agency has begun to buy maize from the farmers.

Chief Mukobela says this will help the farmers who were not able to sale their maize to private buyers citing that not every farmer managed to negotiate for good prices.

He adds that government should this season ensure that the farmers are paid their money not too long after selling their maize.

Chief Mukobela says the farmers can now breathe as they were panicking trying to find buyers for their maize as a way of earning some income.

He further states that the farmers should however not limit themselves to selling to FRA but sale to the ones that will offer them the best prices.
