We’re anxious, Kabanshi looks forward to seeing prefabs

Luapula Member of Parliament Emerine Kabanshi says people in her constituency are anxious to see the construction of seven Health posts of the 650 government has earmarked to construct countrywide.

Ms. Kabanshi says the challenge that her constituency faces is that it prone to being waterlogged.

She has told Qfm News in an interview that the problem of being waterlogged is what has led to people of Luapula constituency resorting to using water transport throughout the year.

Ms. Kabanshi says this implies that the only time the materials for construction of the seven health posts can be transported to her constituency is now when the water levels have subsided as a result of the poor rainfall experienced during the 2014/2015 season.

She says the council in Nsama district has since engaged the Ministry of Health which has also indicated it will do something about the matter.
