Patriotic Front Petauke Central Member of Parliament Dora Siliya is concerned with the alarming levels of child defilement in the country.
Ms. Siliya says it is high time the country did something about the continued increase in cases of child defilement.
She says she has taken it upon herself to work civil society organizations and other citizens to organize a campaign to be launched on 29th August dubbed: “show you care campaign”.
Ms. Siliya says when a child feels unsafe in a home, school or anywhere because they are being sexually abused; it is time to show that other people care.
She adds that everyone needs to do something about the increasing cases of defilement in the country.
Ms. Siliya has further called on the media to join the campaign and help reduce defilement cases.
