Mufurila Wanderers banned from using Shinde as ZESCO Utd get 3 points

ZESCO United at Shinde

The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) Disciplinary Committee which sat today, Friday, 14th August,2015 has fined Mufulira Wanderers Football Club K5,000 and ordered the club to play their next six home matches 60 Kilometers away from Shinde Stadium.

This follows the violent conduct of their fans during an abandoned week 19 match against ZESCO United sparked by 30th minute goal scored by ZESCO.

The FAZ Disciplinary Committee Chaired by Anthony Kasolo has also awarded ZESCO United three points via a 3 nil score line for the abandoned match played at Shinde Stadium.

The committee found Mufulira Wanderer guilty after oral submissions from both teams and perusal of Referees and match commissioner’s report.

The FAZ Disciplinary Committee has also fined the two Mufulira wanderers assistant coaches Moses Kashimoto and Mulenga Chewe K2,000 each and further suspended them from sitting on the technical bench for two matches beginning this weekend.

The duo is said to have injured ZESCO United player Mwape Mwelwa and verbally abused and insulted match officials respectively.

The Mufulira based side has however been granted the right to appeal.

This is contained in a statement issued to QFM Sports News by FAZ Communications Manager Nkweto Tembwe.
