PF, UPND youths welcome revised National Youth Policy

The opposition UPND Lusaka District Youth Wing has expressed gratitude to government for launching the Revised National Youth Policy and Action Plan on Youth empowerment and Employment.

UPND Lusaka District Youth Wing vice secretary Otis Bwalya says they believe that if well implemented, the two documents will reduce high poverty levels and unemployment among youths in Zambia.

Mr. Bwalya has told Qfm News that this is especially that currently, despite making up the large percentage of the country’s population, youths are the most disadvantaged.

He says this is in terms of accessing resources and opportunities to improve their living standards.

Mr. Bwalya states that UPND youths in Lusaka district are therefore calling upon President Edgar Lungu and his administration to ensure the two documents are given the utmost attention they deserve.

And PF Vision Ambassadors have offered to help fellow youths fully understand what the Youth Policy and Action Plan are about for them to realize the benefit.

PF Vision Ambassadors Chairperson Misheck Kombe says for this very reason, they have obtained copies of the two documents and have started studying them.

Mr. Kombe has told Qfm News that their intention is to see more youths especially on the grassroots acquire the empowerment the two documents seek to render.

He has also encouraged other youth within reachable distances to take time to go to the Ministry of Youth and Sport and obtain the readily available copies of the Youth Policy and Action Plan and come to terms with what they entail.
