No ill feelings over Siamunene’s appointment – Chama

Patriotic Front Secretary General Davies Chama says there is no ill feeling among PF members following the appointment of UPND Sinazongwe MP Richwell Siamunene as Defence Minister.

Mr. Chama says this is despite there being many qualified party members who could have been appointed to the position.

Speaking to Qfm News in an interview, Mr Chama says as far as he is concerned and he is aware, the entire party membership has welcomed the appointment of Mr. Siamunene, and that everyone in ruling party is behind President Edgar Lungu’s leadership.

Mr. Chama says by appointing Mr. Siamunene as Defence Minister, President Lungu has only demonstrated how he wants to continue governing Zambia.

He notes that President Lungu has shown that he wants to continue with a government of national unity which will have Cabinet Ministers from all parts of the country.

Mr. Chama states that it is for this reason that PF members have been commending President Lungu as he is walking the talk by promoting the One Zambia One Nation motto.
