ZMA welcomes release of Constitution Bills

The Zambia Medical Association (ZMA) has welcomed the release of the Constitution Amendment Bill 2015 and the Constitution of Zambia Bill 2015 by government.

ZMA which received a copy of the two Bills on Thursday this week is however yet to give its view on their contents as it is still going through the documents to analyze them.

ZMA president Aaron Mujajati has disclosed to Qfm News that his association intends to give its comprehensive view on the released government documents in two weeks time after a thorough study on them.

Dr. Mujajati says in studying the two documents his association’s interest is the Bill of Rights, the health of the Republican President and the issue to do with medicals for presidential candidates.

He says ZMA also wants to know how the devolution of power is going to relate to how the health sector is going to be structured and how such devolution will impact service delivery in the sector.

Dr. Mujajati says his association’s further interest in the Bill of rights to see whether government is going to make provision of health care as a right in Zambia.
