Muslims in Zambia are not foreigners – ISCZ

The Islamic Supreme Council of Zambia says it is unfortunate that Muslims in the country are considered as foreigners.

Council President Suzyo Zimba says Islam is one of the ancient religions in Zambia and Muslims should not be considered as foreigners or viewed as strangers.

Mr. Zimba says it is actually wrong for people to continue perceiving Muslims are foreigners when Islam was first introduced in Zambia before Christianity.

He says there is need for the people of Zambia to work together despite their religious beliefs saying they are all required to love one another.

He adds that religion is more important than individuals and thus the need for all people to bet united.

Mr. Zimba says the council is aware of one Church Mother body that wants to de -campaign Islam in Zambia saying that is bad for the country like Zambia.
