UPND Bweengwa Member of Parliament Highvie Hamududu has observed that too much talk with less action is Zambia’s biggest challenge.

In an interview with Qfm News, Mr. Hamududu who is also chairperson of the Expanded Parliamentary Committee on Estimates is concerned that the people of Zambia are wrongly getting used to talking too much with less action.

Mr. Hamududu says time has now come for politicians to do more than just talking as doing the opposite is now bringing despondence in the country.

He states that Zambia is therefore currently on trial and its people must henceforth move themselves out of this situation.

Mr Hamududu has cited the current load shedding in the country as one area where people are failing to discuss the fundamental issues around electricity provision.

He is of the view that electricity provision requires long term planning, but that for a very long time now Zambia has not invested in increasing power generation capacity.

Mr Hamududu says increasing power generation still lies in introducing cost effective electricity tariffs to woo investors in power generation.
