UPND in Livingstone worried with high cost of living

The UPND in Livingstone district says the high cost of living in Zambia should set in motion the search for visionary leadership in 2016.

District Spokesperson Nato Halwabala claims the message coming from Zambians given the high cost of living arising from increased load shedding, fuel hikes and poor performance of economy, is that they want a new government in 2016.

Mr Halwabala says the people of Zambia want a government that will answer to the challenges they are going through.

Mr. Halwabala has further told Qfm News that people want a government that will transform the Zambian economy which he says is on the verge of collapsing.

And Mr. Halwabala has disclosed that the City of Livingstone has been hit twice by the effects of economic challenges being faced in the country.

He says this has come about following the relocation of the provincial capital from Livingstone to Choma which he says has reduced the circulation of money in the city.

Mr. Halwabala adds that this is besides the electricity load shedding which has impacted negatively on the city’s small scale businesses.
