Zanaco coach Mumamba Numba is hoping that last Saturday’s win over Forest Rangers is a turning point for the bankers.

The six-time champions picked up a 1-0 home win over Forest at Sunset Stadium in Lusaka to end their two-match losing run.

Zanaco headed into their home game against Forest on the back of two successive high-profile 1-0 defeats at the hands of second placed Power Dynamos on July 18 and leaders Zesco United on July 12.

Furthermore, the win was also Zanaco’s first in five games in which they had picked up three losses and two draws since June 3 when they recorded a 2-0 home win over Red Arrows.

“I think it is a great motivation for the team. We went five games without a win. It was a very difficult time and I think from this win, we will pick up,” Numba said.

“We have to be focused and work hard so that we can collect as many points as we can.”

Zanaco stay third on 32 points, four points behind Power after 17 rounds of matches played and are six points adrift of Zesco with 13 games to go before the 2015 Faz Super League title is decided.

Meanwhile, the good news for Zanaco this weekend is they will enjoy home advantage for a second straight game when they host struggling Nchanga Rangers.
