Govt set to recruit 5, 000 teachers

The Ministry of Education says all is set for the recruitment of about five thousand (5, 000) new teachers in the country.

Ministry of Education Spokesperson Hillary Chipango has told QFM News via telephone that the ministry was just sorting out some logistical and administrative issues.

Mr. Chipango says by next week, the ministry will be running adverts in the media to call for applications from suitably qualified teachers to apply.

He says the process will be transparent as other concerned stakeholders have been engaged in the process to help ensure that all qualified Zambians are given equal chance of being recruited.

Mr. Chipango states that the process has been decentralized and will be conducted in provinces which is an assurance enough that the process will be transparent.
