ZED counsels economic analysts

Economic analysts in the country have been advised against being enemies of their own country by making irresponsible statements on state of the economy.

Zambians for Empowerment and Development (ZED) President Fredrick Mutesa has observed that economic analyst at either individual or corporate entity level are to some degree basing their utterances on previous statements that have been made with respect challenges facing the Zambian economy.

Dr Mutesa says though it is a fact that the Zambian economy is not doing well, his party feels debates should focus on providing the best solutions to the challenges being faced.

Dr. Mutesa has told Qfm News in an interview that his party does not agree with the kind of debate prevailing which appears to be aimed at inciting people to turn against those in authority.

He says such kind of debate is not helping the country move forward in any way.

Dr. Mutesa says there is need for patriotism in the utterances being made on the country’s economy by analysts.
