Government is pleased with the progress made on the construction of the Michael Chilufya Sata Girls Secondary School in Isoka District of Muchinga Province.
Isoka District Commissioner Major Joe Siwila has told QFM News via telephone that the construction works at the first-ever girls’ secondary school in the district will be completed by next year.
Major Siwila says the construction works have reached window level on both teachers’ houses and the school itself.
The Isoka District Commission says the construction of the secondary school demonstrates the importance the PF government attaches to the provision of quality education in the country.
He says girls who progress to secondary level in the district have to access secondary level education in either Chinsali or Nakonde.
He notes that once completed, the secondary school will ease the burden on parents of sending their girls to other districts to pursue secondary education.
Major Siwila adds that the people in the district are happy with this development and are looking forward to having such education provisions.
