Kanene needed reflection, we’re vindicated – NGOCC

The Non Governmental Organisation Coordinating Council (NGOCC) says it has been vindicated by reports that pardoned child defiler Clifford Dimba alias General Kanene has been involved in a Gender Based Violent (GBV) case.

NGOCC Executive Director Engwase Mwale says the revelation proves that Dimba needed to reflect on his actions and face the consequences of his action since the courts of law found him guilty of defiling a 14 years old girl.

Ms. Mwale says the NGOCC’s position was very clear that the manner in which Dimba was pardoned lives a lot of questions unanswered.

She says they are very disappointed as an organisation that the executive arm of government found it fit to pardon Dimba before he could serve even half of his full sentence.

Ms. Mwale has questioned what sort of remorse Dimba had shown for his actions to the extent of being pardoned.

She further states that the reports suggesting that Dimba beat up his wife is an opportunity for the President to think through the decision he made and ensure that justice prevails.
