Motorists complain over hiked road tax

Motorists in Lusaka have complained in random interviews that they are being made to pay for the mistakes of the Government.

Gerald Mwelwa one of the motorists has told QFM News in a random that government is now looking for ways to cover up the budget deficits by the increasing the fuel pump price and road tax, which he says is unfair to the people of Zambia.

Mr. Mwelwa wonders how the poor who are the majority poor Zambians are going to survive with the cost of living in the country becoming unbearable.

And John Kabanga says the increase in fuel and road tax shows that government does not have a heart for the people.

He says if government had a heart for the people it would not subject them to the high cost of living.

And Mercy Chiwale has noted with disappointment that what is happening is completely different from what the PF had promised the Zambian people.

Another motorist Jack Kasabo says the people of Zambia have learnt their lesson the hard way.

Government has increased road tax by 50 percent.
