Hamaundu predicts goods prices to go up

Financial Analyst Mambo Hamaundu has predicted that most of the prices for goods and services in the country will go up following the current economic challenges the country is engulfed with.

Mr. Hamaundu notes that the country needs to reach a level where it should move away from rhetoric and become pragmatic and practical to help the poor majority Zambians citing that too much pronouncements has been made.

Mr. Hamaundu says the country needs to start making decisions that will help the people of Zambia earn a living noting that the continued load shedding and the increase in road taxes and fuel prices are a burden to the people of Zambia.

He points out that most of the Zambian people are running small and medium enterprises but with the increased load shedding and increased fuel prices, there sources of income are being taken away and as a result poverty levels are going up.

Mr. Hamaundu explains that as long as the situation is not urgently addressed, the people of Zambia will continue to wallow in poverty stressing that it is unfair and unfortunate that even at 50 years of independence the majority of the people of Zambia continue to wallow in poverty.

He has further urged the people of Zambia to be strong and continue to work hard for their survival and the survival of the economy.
