BNFA insists on peaceful resolution of Barotseland Agreement

First trustee of the Barotse National Freedom Alliance (BNFA) William Harrington has reiterated that the Alliance remains committed to a peaceful and legal resolution of the Barotseland Agreement of 1964.

Mr. Harrington says the BNFA wants the Agreement to be resolved in a non-violent and diplomatic way.

He has told Qfm news that he personally cannot afford to witness any further incarceration and use of fatal force against unarmed citizens as was the case in January of 2012.

And Mr. Harrington has confirmed that the Barotseland Agreement of 1964 has been table before the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights in Gambia.

He says the Commission which is a charter of the African Union (AU) has to this effect on a prima facie accepted that the Zambian government has violated the Barotseland Agreement.
