IBA hails performance of community radio

The Independent Broadcasting Authority (IBA) has hailed the performance of the majority community radio stations across the country.

IBA director general Josephine Mapoma says she has personally conducted visits and has found that many radio stations broadcast within their parameters.

Ms. Mapoma says she is confident that other radios stations can also do better simply by following the guidelines of the independent broadcasting authority.

She says her team will continue to monitor the way all radio stations and television stations air their content for the benefit of the public.

Ms. Mapoma has also stresses the need for all broadcasting stations keep in mind that they have a responsibility of ensuring that their content is of quality and suits the standards of the IBA guidelines at all costs.
