PF rejects UPND Mwembeshi MP

The Patriotic Front in Shibuyunji District has refuted media reports suggesting that it is pleading for opposition United Party for National Development (UPND) Mwembeshi Member of Parliament Austin Milambo to join the ruling party.

Shibuyunji District PF chairman Joseph Kasonde says notwithstanding the fact that it has not even met Mr. Milambo, his party has no such intentions.

Mr. Kasonde states that the PF therefore finds Mr. Malambo’s recent utterances of on a local community radio station as mere cheap politicking aimed at gaining his diminishing popularity in the constituency.

He says the ruling party under the leadership of President Edgar Lungu has an inclusive administration when it comes to social and economical development and that it does not even to plead for people join it.

Mr. Kasonde has since advised Mr. Milambo to emulate other opposition members of parliament by expediting developmental projects in his constituency than engaging in cheap politics.
