Sucession debate trivial – HH

UPND President Hakainde Hichilema says Zambia is doomed as long as people keep preoccupying themselves with trivial and unproductive debates such as the purported secession of southern province.

Mr Hichilema notes that the country is once again back to trivial debates that are totally unproductive like it has wrongly done so in the past at the expense of focusing on real issues that are currently affecting the natiHakaindeon.

He says he personally attended the Lwiindi traditional ceremony in Monze and proceeded for another one at Chief Mukuni’s Palace in Livingstone and that at no time did he hear any debate about the people of southern province intending to secede from the rest of Zambia.

Mr Hichilema says the country should not divert its attention from what should be real issues that need serious solutions as a united country.

He notes the need to put heads together and find solutions on why the country is accruing huge debts when there is capacity to locally generate resources and create employment for people, especially mainly the majority jobless youths.

Mr Hichilema adds that the country should preoccupy itself with debates such as how closures at institutions of higher learning such as CBU, UNZA, Evelyn Hone, and others could be avoided.
