Eligible imprisoned pensioners not affected by new law – NAPSA

National Pensions Scheme Authority (NAPSA) says the thirteen thousand pensioners eligible to get their pension this year will not be affected by the new law on the retirement age.

NAPSA Director General Mpundu Bwalya has told Qfm news in an interview that the authority has been working on the pensioners’ files way before the pronouncements on the revision of the retirement age was made

Mr Bwalya says those who are eligible to get their pensions this year will get their dues despite increase in the retirement age.

Mr. Bwalya states that those eligible to get their pensions should therefore be assured of getting their benefits.
