Kanye West had stepped up and taken on the role of dad to Scott Disick‘s son Mason – if only for one day.
The superstar rapper took Kourtney Kardashian‘s 5 year old child to New York for this year’s 4th July celebrations – following the break-up of his parents.
Kim Kardashian also attended the celebrations, bringing Mason’s cousin North West along for the party which was held on the couple’s friends’ private yacht.
According to reports by the New York Post, Kanye also took young Mason to the cinema while Kim had lunch with pals before joining everyone for the party later that evening.
And while the Wests headed east, Kourtney stayed at home in LA with daughter Penelope and baby boy Reign.
Kourtney was reported to have ‘dumped’ her long-term partner and father to her 3 children, this week.
The news followed rumours that Kourtney kicked him out of their home, after the reality star was spotted getting cosy with another woman in Monaco.
And it seemed the eldest Kardashian sister had finally had enough of Scott’s behaviour, calling time on their 9 year relationship.
According to reports by TMZ, Kourtney ended things with Scott after he didn’t come home to the family house for over a month.
“His partying lately has made her make this tough decision,” a source told the news site.
It is also believed that Kourtney is frustrated with the star’s friends, who she thinks are enabling his substance abuse.
But enough is enough for the mum-of-3 who has had a rocky partnership with Scott since the beginning.
Sources added: “But now, after 3 kids, it’s gotten old and she has to do what’s best for the kids.”
Scott recently enjoyed time on Monte Carlo beach with the mystery girl – thought to be his ex-girlfriend Chloe Bartoli – and a group of friends.
The controversial star, who could soon be leaving KUWTK, was pictured being fed by Chloe, who he later had his arm round.
At one particularly awkward moment, she even poured water into his mouth from a wine glass.
Apparently Scott already knew about the break-up, as he was reported to have been calling himself “newly single” on the holiday.
