THE Duke and Duchess of Cambridge beamed when they arrived at Sandringham, Norfolk, for the christening of their baby daughter today.

Holding on to Prince George‘s hand as they made their long-awaited entrance, William smiled for photgraphers as Kate pushed Princess Charlotte in a Victorian-style Millson pram.

The beautiful family stayed close as they were met by hundreds of fans at the Norfolk-based estate.

Dressed in a seriously sweet pair of red shorts, Prince George was snapped holding his dad’s hand as they made their way towards the church for the special ceremony.

As expected, the little tot – who’s set to turn 2 in July – quickly set tongues wagging.

His outfit appeared to be very similar to the one his father wore the day he met his little brother, Prince Harry, for the first time.

Standing between William and his mum, Kate, who stunned in a cream Alexander McQueen ensemble complete with Jane Taylor hat, Prince George couldn’t help but stare at the crowds of people.

His sister Charlotte arrived wearing the traditional Royal Christening Robe.

It was designed and made by The Queen’s dressmaker Angela Kelly.

The famous Horniton lace piece was made in 1841 for the eldest daughter of Queen Victoria.

The Queen then wore it, and so did her children and grandchildren, and she later asked for a replica to be created.

As expected, hundreds of fans gathered to watch the royals arrive at the very special ceremony.

Meanwhile, Prince Charles’ wife, the Duchess of Cambridge, was seen battling the elements as she made her way towards the chruch in a light blue fock with matching hat.

Clinging on her her buttoned skirt and handbag, she kept her eyes on the floor as the photographers snapped away.

Kate Middleton and Prince William announced their daughter’s godparents earlier today.

With no David Beckham in sight, Kate Middleton and Prince William have revealed their daughter will have 5 guardians, all of whom are “friends or family”.

Among the much-awaited list is the Duchess of Cambridge’s cousin Adam Middleton as well as the Duke’s cousin Laura Fellowes.

Sophie Carter, James Meadem and Thomas van Straubenzee have also been confirmed.

Charlotte’s special occasion will take place this Sunday at St Mary Magdalene, Sandringham, Norfolk, where the Duke and Duchess have welcomed everyone to come and send their well-wishes.

The service will be conducted by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby.

At 2 months old, little Charlotte will recycle the family’s christening gown – which has been used since 2008 – which her older brother Prince George also wore.

Mario Testino has also been hired as the official photographer for the occasion this Sunday.

The 60 year old famously photographed Princess Diana in 1997 as well as took Kate and Wills engagement portrait.
