Every Home for Christ Regional Director Dr. Cleopas Chitapa says a child marriage is an issue that society needs to be educated on.
Dr. Chitapa says a girl child must be a sacred and protected as any other child and be given a chance to excel in career and education rather than be looked at them as objects of sex or house wives.
Dr. Chitapa says Christian ministries must condemn and conduct such kind of marriages citing that policy makers should also put stringent measures in place to make it difficult to do that.
He has however commended Zambia for the efforts it is making in fighting child marriages stressing that the government of Zambia working with the various stakeholders has made tremendous progress in stopping the vice.
Dr. Chitapa has urged Zambians and especially traditional leaders to continue stopping child marriages and ensure that children enjoy their childhood so that they turn out into responsible adults who will be able to run the nation in future.
He has further encouraged children to concentrate on their education no matter the circumstance so that they become something in future.
