Deputy Minister in the office of the vice president Stephen Kampyongo

Government has advised the Grand Coalition on the Campaign for people driven Constitution to concentrate on constructive debates regarding the need for Zambians to have a people driven constitution.

Deputy Minister in the office of the vice president Stephen Kampyongo says the Patriotic Front government is committed to delivering a people driven constitution and needs the support of all relevant stakeholders.

Mr. Kampyongo says government also appreciates the important role that various civil society organizations and the church play in educating the public on the importance of having a constitution that will stand a taste of time.

He says in this regard the Grand Coalition should engage and concentrate on its role by ensuring that that the organization does not sway away from its work in an effort to seek attention from others.

Mr. Kampyongo stresses that the Patriotic Front government will endeavor to remain open to discussions and contributions that will see the constitution be delivered to the Zambian people as promised during the campaigns.

He says government will also continue to accept criticism on matters that are affecting the nation.
