Poverty is the biggest challenge Lubansenshi faces- Mucheleka

Independent Lubansenshi Member of Parliament Patrick Mucheleka says the biggest challenge people in his constituency are grappling with is increased poverty levels.

Mr. Mucheleka says most of the people in the area depend on agriculture for their livelihoods, but that access to the agriculture market is hampered by the poor state of feeder roads.

He adds that this is also compounded by the lack of sufficient storage facilities for the farmers to store their produce, resulting in most instances their produce going to waste.

Mr. Mucheleka says there is need for government to put up adequate storage facilities in rural areas so that sweat and toil of the farmers does not go to waste.

He further urged government to implementing policies that will help reduce the high poverty levels in rural areas.
