Govt dissolves NYDC Board

Youth and Sports Minister, Vincent Mwale

The National Youth Development Council (NYDC) board has been dissolved with immediate effect by government.

Youth and Sports Minister, Vincent Mwale has explained that this is to pave way for investigations into alleged misuse of public funds.

Speaking at a media briefing held in Lusaka this morning in Lusaka Mr. Mwale has also disclosed that that government has since reported the matter to the investigative wings.

Mr. Mwale states this means that all board members must surrender all NYDC properties in their possession.

He says his Ministry will not shield anyone implicated in the alleged abuse of funds.
