ZDDM warns of strong action against RB’s mudslingers

The opposition Zambia Direct Democracy Movement (ZDDM) has warned of strong action against any individual or organization that will be peddling lies about former President Rupiah Banda.

The ZDDM that had been campaigning for Mr. Banda’s comeback to active politics is incensed by the continued insults and fabrication of malicious propaganda that the former Head of State has been receiving since his attempts for reelection in this year’s presidential election.

ZDDM president Edwin Sakala has told Qfm News in a statement that his party has taken note in silence how some organizations have been advancing insinuations that Mr. Banda has influence and control over President Edgar Lungu’s government.

Mr. Sakala believes that such insinuations are far from the truth and that those making such suggestions must prove their demonizing lies.

He states if it becomes necessary the ZDDM may even engage cadres from a party it supported to get at whoever speak ill of Mr. Banda to prove their false statements or retract their statements.
