Gilzen speaks standards for Zambia’s learning institutions

The United Nations Organization for Education, Science and Culture (UNESCO) Southern Africa regional director Hubert Gilzen has advised government to put in much more effort in prioritizing the standards of learning in higher learning institutions.

Professor Gilzen notes that in as much as government has paid good attention to improving the learning standards from primary level, pupils and students need to be exposed to more works if they are to become better person when they leave their learning institutions.

Professor Gilzen notes that Zambia has also made tremendous strides in equipping many schools with reading materials which is key to bettering the learning standards of the students.

He has however thinks that Zambia’s education sector has the potential to improve its outlook by the year 2030.
