Dr. Musokotwane who is among the 17 Members of Parliament recently pardoned by the MMD National Executive Committee for supporting other presidential candidates in the presidential election says the MMD like any other political party must strive to make itself relevant.

Dr. Musokotwane who is also former Finance Minister states that this is especially that there is a lot that speaks for the MMD given the period of time it had been in government.

He says this is evidenced in how fellow opposition political parties like the UPND are now praising the MMD’s work in consolidating Zambia’s economy in the 20 years it was in power in comparison to the 3 years the PF has been in power.

Dr. Musokotwane says this means there is still potential for the MMD to bounce back to power.

Dr. Musokotwane states that it is the hope of any former ruling party to bounce back to power.
