Tennant Chilumba has praised his bench for keeping Power Dynamos’ unbeaten in the Kitwe sides last four successive games during his absence.

Chilumba missed club duties for most of May and the early part of June while away on national duty as Zambia Under-23 assistant coach during the 2015 Caf Under-23 qualifiers.

In his absence, first assistant coach Anderson Phiri picked up 10 points out of a possible 12 points from four straight away games since May 3 when Power’s 1-0 derby loss at Nkana.

“I would like to congratulate the technical bench. I was out for a month but as you can see we are sharing the same philosophy,” Chilumba said.

“I would like to say that it was an excellent run of results hopefully for the next five games again we will get maximum points.”

Power currently have a four-match backlog that came about following a forced two-week lay-off in May after contributing five players to both Under-23 qualifiers and the 2015 Cosafa Cup in South Africa.

Chilumba’s side is third on the Faz Super League log despite playing just two games over the last five weeks on 20 points, eight behind leaders Zanaco who have played 13 games.

Meanwhile, Power host Nchanga Rangers this weekend in their first home game at Arthur Davies Stadium in Kitwe since April 24 when they drew 1-1 there with promoted Mufulira Wanderers.
