325 companies to participate in Zambia International Trade Fair

Three hundred and twenty five (325) companies have confirmed participation in this year’s 51st Zambia International Trade Fair in Ndola.

Commerce, Trade and Industry Minister Margaret Mwanakatwe has told a media briefing in Lusaka today that of the 325 companies, 304 are local companies, while 21 are foreign companies representing 15 countries.

Ms. Mwanakatwe says the UnitMwanakatweed Kingdom has returned to take part in this year’s trade fair, while Poland, Ghana and Turkey will be participating for the first time.

She has since encouraged other companies that have not yet confirmed their participation to do so, stating that the 51st international trade fair is a platform for the country to position itself for the next 50 years.

Ms. Mwanakatwe has reminded Zambian companies that participating in this year’s trade fair forms part of the 50 years celebration of the country’s independence.

The Commerce Minister has also confirmed that Kenya’s President Uhuru Kenya will grace the trade fair.

The theme for this year’s Zambia international trade fair which will be held from 1st to 7th July is “Prosperity through business reforms and linkages”.
