Vice President Inonge Wina has warned unscrupulous people extorting people of their money using her name and that of the President.

Ms Wina says it has come to the attention of President Edgar Lungu and her that some unscrupulous people are going round obtaining money and other benefits using their names and that of the ruling party.

The Vice President says her office and State house disassociate themselves from these vices and has warned those involved to stop immediately.

Ms Wina says numerous reports and complaints have reached her office concerning fraudsters who are obtaining money of some other benefits on claims that they are representing the PF, the President and the Vice President.

She has since cautioned people to be wary of such unscrupulous and dubious individuals.

Ms Wina has also urged the Police and other law enforcement agencies to take keen interest in the matter and ensure that the culprits are apprehended and the due process of the law takes its course.

Meanwhile Ms Wina says government is saddened by the number of ritual killings being recorded in the country.

She says government is however putting stringent measures in place to curb the vice.

Ms Wina says no one deserves to be killed in a brutal manner and that such barbaric behaviour deserves condemnation from all sectors of society.

She since called on law enforcement agencies to thoroughly investigate these killings.

This is contained in a statement issued to QFM news by Senior Private Secretary in the office of the Vice President Sheila Siwela.
