FDD Spokesperson Antonio Mwanza
The Forum for Democracy and Development (FDD) has described the tear gassing of traditionalists in Paramount Chief Mpezeni’s chiefdom by the Police over the weekend as immoral.
FDD Spokesperson Antonio Mwanza has told QFM News from Eastern Province that Police should end what he has termed as overzealous behavior.
Mr. Mwanza states that it is sad that Police tear gassed the Ngoni traditionalists who had gathered for a meeting with Paramount Chief Mpezeni in Chipangali.
He says people have the right to assemble and discuss issues affecting them and that it is wrong for the Police to disperse them in such a manner.
He states that it is this kind of overzealousness by the Police that causes people to defile the Public Order Act.
