PF doubts UPND has learnt anything from Mapatizya formula

The ruling Patriotic Front (PF) has expressed doubt the opposition United Party for National Development (UPND) has not learnt anything regarding the need to condemn violence.

The ruling PF suspects that the UPND has not learnt that there is everything wrong and evil with its Mapatizya formula.

PF Media and Publicity Committee vice chairperson Sunday Chanda says this is why his party does not find it surprising that the UPND has failed to show moral strength by condemning threats on his party’s Secretary General Davies Chama’s life.

Mr. Chanda has told Qfm News in a statement that he thinks that UPND would rather politic on the act of reasonable self-defense, whose clear intention was not to kill the UPND assailant but that typical of the opposition alleged hypocritical nature, UPND does not even see the need to condemn the possession of dangerous weapons which it allegedly intended to use in harming Mr. Chama.

He has however advised the UPND against taking the law in its own hands.

Mr. Chanda states the UPND must also be reminded not to interfere with police investigations into the incident in which one of its members was shot at.

He says by threatening to effect a citizen’s arrest on Mr. Chama, UPND is threatening violence and they do not to be reminded that violence always begets violence.

Media and Publicity Committee vice chairperson has charged that his party refuses to sink to these low levels but we stand ready to defend the PF Secretary General  from UPND attacks.

He has assured the UPND serious consequences will follow its planned citizen’s arrest, cautioning that the opposition political must not turn around and say that PF is a party of aggressors.

And Mr. Chanda has also clarified that contrary to UPND’s alleged paranoid assertions, PF has no intention of rigging the 2016 elections because it is sure of a resounding victory.

He has urged the UPND to instead sensitize its members and quit being cry-babies over the low NRC turnout in their so-called strongholds.
