Govt committed to road safety – Mukanga

Government has reaffirmed its commitment to improving the design of roads in the country to make them safer from accidents.

Transport, Works, Supply and Communications Minister Yamfwa Mukanga says government is seriously looking into concerns being raised by stakeholders with regards to making roads safer for both pedestrians and motorists.

Mr. Mukanga explains that in this regard government through the Road Development Agency (RDA) will find time to discuss the way forward.

He says government attaches great importance to ensuring that all travelers and road users are safe from any accident.

Mr. Mukanga states that his Ministry will ensure that the level of awareness among motorist is also increased if the country is save lives from traffic accidents.
