UBA Chairman notes role of entrepreneurship in uniting Africa

Visiting United Bank for Africa (UBA) board Chairman Tony Elumelu has observed that entrepreneurship has a role to unite Africa through private sector engagement.

Mr. Elumelu who is an accomplished Nigerian entrepreneur and a shareholder of the AFRIXIM Bank says he also believes the true sustainable development of the African continent lies in entrepreneurship.

He says he has also come to the realization that it is further through entrepreneurship that most of the employment needs in Africa can be addressed.

Mr. Elumelu states that this implies that as far as Africa capitalism is concerned, the private sector need to investment in long term key sectors to create economic prosperity and social wealth.

He was speaking in Lusaka last evening during a welcome cocktail hosted by UBA Zambia.
