Malaysia Airlines plane makes Melbourne emergency landing

A Malaysia Airlines passenger plane has made an emergency landing in Australia after reporting a possible engine fire.

Flight MH148 was travelling from Melbourne to the Malaysian capital, Kuala Lumpur.

Plane tracking sites showed the flight circling the airport several times.

Fire engines were at the scene but officials at Melbourne airport said it had landed safely at around 15:00 local time (05:00 GMT).
